My Baseball Journey
I began playing baseball at the age of 5, and I played recreation/city baseball until I was 10, when I began to play travel ball. Since then, I have played for clubs including the Dallas Mustangs, North Texas Eagles, McKinney Marshals, North Texas Longhorns, McKinney Mongrels, and North Texas Raiders. After I began high school, in addition to playing for Allen, I have competed in national showcases during the summer and fall.
High School

Allen High School is in the largest division of high schools (6A) and is one of the biggest in Texas, with 6400 total students. After trying out for baseball over the course of an entire semester, I became the first Asian-American baseball player in the history of Allen High School.
Club

In the summer and fall, I play for the Dallas Mustangs. We play in showcases at D1 schools, mostly in the Big 12 conference and also at the spring training complexes of MLB teams. I have also participated in showcases such as the Perfect Game Underclass National Showcases Main Event, Area Code. In addition, I have played at recruiting camps at Stanford (2016 and 2017) as well as the Headfirst Honor Roll camp in Long Island, NY.

Injury Rehab

In the summer after my sophomore year, I tore my labrum (shoulder) while pitching at the University of Texas, San Antonio. Since blood doesn't flow to the labrum, it is impossible to heal a tear. Instead, rehab requires realigning the scapular and back muscles and surgery is often required, but it still doesn't guarantee recovery for this injury. I did rehab exercises every day for 10 months and began a throwing program for another 4 months. I was able to play again after suffering "the most fearsome injury in baseball'" this past summer.
